Fear NotAre you feeling fear in your life, are you worried and troubled about many things I want to share a Scripture with you that is usually used at Christmas time but it is one that needs to be looked at in lots of situations. The Scripture is found in: Luke 2:9-14 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Why it means so much to me is the Fear Not. So many times in life things can seem so overwhelming – trials come to us in many forms ~ sickness, loss, discouragement, disappointments, hardships, and the list can go on and on. But if we allow the truth of His Word to penetrate our heart and soul we can carry on. Fear Not ~ I will be with you, fear not ~ I will never leave you or forsake you, fear not ~ My peace I give to you, fear not ~ Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, fear not ~ I (meaning Jesus) have made a way for you, fear not ~ behold I make all things new, fear not ~ as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us, fear not ~ Jesus will make a way where there seems not to be a way. If you find yourself in a discouraging time I want to encourage you to FEAR NOT – Look to Jesus – the Author and Finisher of your faith – put your hope, your trust in Him because He is the answer!! |
