The Victory

Soon we will be celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a time when we remember what Christ did for each one

of us on the cross – through Christ' shed blood, death, and resurrection

each one of us receives justification when we accept Christ in to our

hearts. We are justified – just as if we never sinned – Christ's blood is

applied to our lives and we are free indeed. Let's look at the following

Scripture Luke 24:1-12 (AMPLIFIED)

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, (the women) went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had made ready. And they found the stone rolled back from the tomb, but when they went inside, they did not find the body of the LORD JESUS. And while they were perplexed and wondering what to do about this, behold, two men in dazzling raiment suddenly stood beside them. And as (the women) were frightened and were bowing their faces to the ground, the men said to them, Why do you look for the living among (those who are) dead? He is not here, but has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee that the Son of Man must be given over into the hands of sinful men (men whose way or nature is to act in opposition to God) and be crucified and on the third day rise (from death). And they remembered His words. And having returned from the tomb, they reported all these things (taken together) to the eleven apostles and to all the rest. Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Marythe mother of James, and the other women with them, who reported these things to the apostles. But these reports seemed to the men an idle tale (madness, feigned things, nonsense), and they did not believe the women. But Peter got up and ran to the tomb; and stooping down and looking in, he saw the linen cloths alone by themselves, and he went away, wondering about and marveling at what had happened.

Praise God – What hope we have through these verses I specifically

would like to call your attention to the part where it says why are you

seeking the living among the dead all too often that is what we still are

doing today – seeking the living among the dead – we run to things that

cause our spirits to die within us – we look everywhere to fill that void we

find in our lives when really that void can only be filled when we

surrender our lives to Jesus Christ. Today is a day when we need to

look forward not backwards – if you have accepted Christ as your

Savior then rejoice in what Christ has done for you. Do you realize

that when Christ went to the cross – He took ALL of your sin upon

Himself and won the VICTORY for you. He is telling you – don't

go looking for the deadness in your life – don't go back to the old – In

Christ you are a new creation – as it says in 2 Cor. 5:17-20. Praise God, Christ has won the VICTORY!!

We serve a Risen, Living Savior. Rejoice in God's goodness!! Celebrate the VICTORY you have through Christ!

Go forward in Christ!!!!
